Hello Alumni and Family of the Roxbury Sound!
For those who may not know me, my name is Ryan Sweer and I have the distinct pleasure of being the current Director of the Marching Gaels and Roxbury Sound here at RHS. I hope this email finds you all well!
A few years ago, I began a new event here in Roxbury, where former members of the Roxbury Sound, family of current members, and Roxbury staff who still play their instruments or want to put their color guard skills to use, come perform with the current members of the Roxbury Sound at a home football game this season. It has been a big success and a LOT of fun and we plan to do it again for our 3rd year in a row! I would like to extend an invitation for anyone who fits the above criteria to come and play with us during the Homecoming football game held on Friday, 10/10!
For those interested, you would attend a short rehearsal with the Roxbury Sound that afternoon, and you would perform with us at the game – pep tunes in the stands, and on the field for the LAST Roxbury Sound tune during half-time! You would get to enjoy some snacks during the 3rd quarter break, and first-time participants would also receive a free Roxbury Sound Alumni/Family t-shirt for coming to play with us that night. Been here before? Just register, bring your shirt, and join the fun!
If you are interested in joining us, I’d ask you to fill out the Google Form linked below to give us some more information. For those planning to attend, you would be expected to have your own equipment and print your own music that will be sent to you upon confirming your participation (yes, you may use it throughout the evening!). We might have limited equipment to let you borrow for those of you who no longer have your own, but that depends on current inventory and student participation, so I can make no promises to you at this time.
